At IBeanTrolled, kindness begins with trust. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it may be used or shared, and the choices available to you when participating in the IBeanTrolled community.
By using this website, creating an account, submitting content, applying to participate, or making a purchase, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
When you create an IBeanTrolled account, we may collect your name or chosen username, email address, and account password. Passwords are securely encrypted before being stored. No one at IBeanTrolled can view or retrieve your password. If you forget your password, it cannot be recovered because it is not visible to us.
When you participate in the IBeanTrolled community, we may collect information you choose to submit through:
This information may include a name or username, email address, troll identification number, general hide or find location, written message, and other details you voluntarily provide.
You may choose to upload photos with hides, finds, rehides, or Kindness Board submissions. IBeanTrolled does not currently provide profile-photo uploads.
Photos may contain information that you choose to include in the image. Please only submit photos that you have the right to share.
When you make a purchase, we may collect the information needed to prepare, communicate about, and deliver your order. This may include your name, email address, mailing address, order details, and payment status.
Payments may be made through PayPal or by electronic transfer. PayPal processes payment information under its own terms and privacy practices. IBeanTrolled does not receive or store your complete PayPal payment credentials.
Our website host and server may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, requested pages, and the date and time of a visit.
This information is used for website operation, troubleshooting, security, and protection against misuse.

Certain information submitted to IBeanTrolled is intended to become part of the public community experience. This may include usernames, photos, written messages, troll identification numbers, general locations, hide posts, find posts, rehide records, journey statistics, seals, and approved Kindness Board submissions.
By submitting content for public display, you give IBeanTrolled permission to host, display, reproduce, resize, format, and share that content for purposes connected to operating, documenting, and promoting the IBeanTrolled movement.
This permission may include displaying submitted content on the IBeanTrolled website and official IBeanTrolled social media accounts. You continue to own the original content you create.
Exact private addresses are not intended for public display. Public posts may use a general location, public landmark, park, city, region, or other location information connected to the hide or find.
You may contact IBeanTrolled to request removal or correction of content containing your personal information.
You may update certain account information through your profile or dashboard.
You may also use the account-deletion feature to delete your IBeanTrolled profile. Deleting a profile removes the member account and its personal profile information from active use.
Records of hides, finds, rehides, troll journeys, public kindness activity, and related statistics may remain after an account is deleted so the historical record of each Celestial Troll and the wider movement remains complete. Where appropriate, these records may be shown without the deleted member's active profile.
Some information may also be retained where reasonably required for order records, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, website backups, or legal obligations.

Discord notifications are used internally to alert IBeanTrolled administrators about activity requiring attention. They are not intended to create public Discord posts containing private account information.
IBeanTrolled may use cookies, browser storage, session data, or similar technologies that are necessary to operate website features.
These technologies may be used to keep members signed in, maintain account sessions, remember website choices, support security, and help website features function properly.
IBeanTrolled uses Google Search Console and offers optional Google Analytics 4 visitor analytics. Google Analytics is loaded only after you enable its checkbox and save your privacy choices. Declining Analytics does not affect your account, shop access, troll registrations or other website features.
With your permission, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure page visits, approximate visitor location, device/browser information, referral sources and successful troll find, hide and rehide registrations. These activity counts are recorded after a saved action is confirmed, not from opening a form or clicking Submit. Drafts and edits do not count as new hides. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, account IDs, comments, registration content or payment details to Google Analytics. Page reports omit query strings and URL fragments, and use general page titles. Advertising consent stays denied and Google signals and ad personalization are disabled in our tag configuration.
Your Analytics choice is remembered in this browser for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies are configured for up to 180 days. You can change your choice using at any time. If you withdraw permission, Analytics is disabled, its first-party cookies are removed where accessible, and the page reloads. This does not erase data already received by Google.
Google processes Analytics data under its own privacy policies and may process information outside your country. See Google’s privacy policy. Browsers sending a Global Privacy Control signal are treated as declining Analytics.
With your permission, we also count when the found-troll registration form becomes visible and when you first interact with a form field. These are separate from confirmed successful registrations. Form-step events contain fixed event names and general page information, not field values, troll numbers, messages, email addresses or account identifiers. Each optional analytics service follows its own saved consent choice. Clarity may run on the public registration page and its #found or #tracker section links; private URL parameters remain excluded.
Microsoft Clarity is a separate optional service for masked session recordings, clicks, scrolling and heatmaps. It loads only after you select its checkbox and save your choices; previous Google Analytics permission does not enable Clarity. We mask rendered page content, including member profiles and form content, before loading Clarity. Pages with query strings, unrecognized URL fragments, sensitive account/email links and payment confirmation pages do not load Clarity. External Stripe checkout pages do not contain our Clarity tag. We do not send account identifiers or form contents through Clarity custom APIs. Masking does not conceal general device, network or interaction information.
Clarity consent is remembered in this browser for up to 180 days, separately from Google Analytics. You may withdraw either choice using Analytics privacy choices. Withdrawing Clarity permission removes accessible first-party Clarity cookies and reloads the page to stop recording. Previously collected information is not erased by withdrawal. Global Privacy Control keeps both optional services off. Microsoft processes Clarity information under its privacy statement, potentially outside your country.
You can also manage cookies and stored website data through your browser settings. Essential account and security storage remains separate from this optional Analytics choice.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.
Access to administrative areas and non-public submission information is limited to those responsible for operating and maintaining IBeanTrolled.

IBeanTrolled is a family-friendly kindness treasure hunt. Children may participate in finding and hiding Celestial Trolls with the involvement of a parent, guardian, caregiver, or responsible adult.
A parent or legal guardian may contact IBeanTrolled to request correction or removal of personal information or submitted content concerning their child.
This Privacy Policy may be updated as IBeanTrolled grows, adds new features, changes service providers, or adjusts how information is handled.
